I came across an interesting article on Victor Cha in the Washington Post this morning, discussing his time in office. He is apparently leaving the NSC for Georgetown, so the article profiles his time in government - what he learned and how he influenced policy, etc. Apparently, he was a big proponent of getting back to the table with Pyongyang in 2006. His "hawk engagement" policy approach seemed to win the support of the president. It's a quick and interesting read. The link is below.

One silly observation: the last line of the piece reads: "It reminded me of South Korea in 1960 -- but everything had stopped after that." If the article is correct that Cha is presently 45-years old, he may have inadvertently revealed that the NSC has and uses time machines :-)
